Vasovasostomy costs vary greatly from location to location and from physician to physician.  As with most services, the higher the volume, the lower one can afford to charge for the individual service.  This is not to say that the costs are not substantial, but this procedure can be performed effectively and expertly for a reasonable out of pocket cost, also taking account of  the travel cost associated with coming  to North Carolina for this procedure. Many surgeons utilize an add on code for the use of a surgical microscope. This may hide some of the obvious cost of the procedure initially.   There is also the cost of the initial consultation and any follow-up visits. All are included in the above figure, period
. We sometimes hear concerns expressed as to why our price is not as high as many other locations. It is by choice and by conviction. To say that I believe this is what God wants me to do with my life means nothing if I charge as much as everyone else. Our volume allows us to keep our price down. It is our desire to make this procedure available and within reach to as many people as we can. Even at this price, however, a significant number of our patients opt for financial assistance through one of our affiliate finance companies.

Our one fee is all inclusive. There is no additional charge for an assistant, for the microscope, the operating room, or recovery.  Sometimes, vasoepididimostomy will be necessary. This is technically a  more difficult procedure than the vasovasostomy alone, and may require more time, but will incur no additional charge.  There is an extra fee  added only for re-do procedures, as the time and difficulty are substantially increased.

Many surgeons who do not own an operating microscope will only offer this procedure in a hospital setting, or perform the procedure only under optical loupe magnification which is a substandard and inferior procedure, I think it is fair to say that most of us would prefer patients to be asleep when possible.  However, a general anesthetic carries life threatening risks as are associated with all major surgical procedures and is not really necessary.  There will be some discomfort associated with this procedure mainly involving the injection of the local anesthetics.  Just as with your original vasectomy, it is quite well tolerated for most men. In fact, with the sedation provided, the majority of patients drift off to sleep and don't remember a whole lot about the actual procedure. I cannot work if you are hurting.

Almost everyone says the procedure was easier than the original vasectomy. Since this procedure is not covered under your medical insurance policy, there is generally a requirement by hospitals for a substantial deposit, usually in the range of $8000 or more.  For me, it is difficult to justify this added out of pocket cost. By offering this procedure in our surgical facility,  we can allow couples the possibility of pregnancy which otherwise they might not choose to afford or even be able to afford, without compromising the success rates or resorting to an inferior procedure.  I prefer providing this service in my facility for several reasons besides your costs.  I have the added confidence of knowing that I have all of my own instruments available and in perfect condition.  These are all the finest counter-balanced titanium and stainless micro-surgical instruments available and truly make a difference.  I have a Zeiss microscope that I know will be available and working properly.  I also have the control of knowing when your procedure will actually start.  If you have traveled a great distance, it can be rather irritating to find your procedure being moved later and later in the day after you have not been allowed anything to eat or drink, and your surgeon is getting more and more tired.

We want to be of service to you and help you to achieve your reproductive goals. For less than the cost of a breast augmentation, you can potentially realize this potential.  We endeavor to make this procedure as easy for you as possible and welcome your comments and constructive recommendations.  We also love to receive your pictures!

Payment may be made by cash, check, or major credit card. Payment is necessary prior to the performance of this procedure for the base fee.

A nonrefundable deposit of $500 will be needed to schedule your procedure.

A NO OBLIGATION AND NO COST CONSULTATION MAY BE SCHEDULED IF YOU ARE ABLE TO SCHEDULE THIS ON A DIFFERENT DAY THAN THE PROCEDURE!

Please call to reserve an appointment for your procedure at 336-584-1010.  We appreciate your interest and your referrals.
