Dr. Michael Daniel completed
his undergraduate degree at the
University of Georgia in 1981,
graduating Cum Laude and receiving a
Bachelors degree with a major in
Chemistry. He then continued his
education at Emory University School
of Medicine in Atlanta Georgia. He
received his Doctor of Medicine
degree in 1985. One week later, he
married Joan Hug and they moved to
Memphis, Tennessee. He began his
general surgery internship and
residency training at the University
of Tennessee and the Elvis Presley
Memorial Trauma Center. In 1988,
they moved to Birmingham, Alabama
where he received his Urological
residency training at the University
of Alabama at Birmingham. He served
as chief resident and received
intensive microsurgical training and
certification while in Birmingham.
It was in Birmingham that Dr. Daniel
became acutely interested in
microsurgery and vasectomy reversal
procedures. After completing his
Urological residency training, Dr.
Daniel and his family moved to
Burlington, North Carolina, and
began private practice. He maintains
full surgical privileges at Alamance
Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Daniel was certified by the
American Board of Urology in 1994
and recertified in 2004. He
maintains active membership in the
North Carolina Medical Society, the
American Urological Association, the
Alamance – Caswell County Medical
Society, as well as other
professional organizations. He
remains blessed with his wife, Joan,
and three wonderful children,
Nicole, Garrett, and Stephanie. He
is an active member of Blessed
Sacrament Catholic Church and the
Knights of Columbus.
